Weight 502 MPI

I am going to ship a 502 short block (-97), but I need the approximate weight. Is there anybody that can help me?

I jut saw some wieghts for long blocks in a GM dealer ad. Seems like 750 or so. Maybe look in the back of HOTROD mag and find the Ad?Or just guessing 600#

I had a complete 502 shipped not long ago and the shipping receipt said 500lbs? Not sure if its accurate or not.
