Are the 3.0L Fleetmaster gearcases the same for all 3.0L's ?

Are the 3.0L Fleetmaster gearcases the same for all 3.0L's ?
I'm looking for a counter rotating Fleetmaster 1.75 gear ratio for a 98' ProMax 300. Are these the same gear cases found in 250's or other 3.0 L motors ? I've seen some guys have them for $2700 new while list is about $4500 or so.
