The Alexandria Waterfront Festival is this weekend at Oronoco Park in Old Town Alex. The website is waterfrontfestival.org
They are having bands tonight, tommorrow and Sunday and fireworks on Sat. night @ 10:30. We went last year and it was cool, the fireworks were going off right over us

If anyone is considering going, I would suggest that you take food with you, because there is basically nowhere to get on shore from the water and you don't want to go swimming in that area

I'm pretty sure that we are going and will spend the night on the boat if we do.

We were there for dinner tonight by water. We got a slip for a few hours, but they said this weekend is going to be busy. I made nice nice with the dock folks, and they agreed to even come get me with their work boat if I need to anchor out. I have dinner reservations for Father's Day at the Chart House. It will be packed. The Festival is very big.

The upper Potomac has a lot of crap in it. Watch out.

Not sure. It depends on what time we get out. I'm getting ready to cut the grass now and I have to go get gas.

We should out be by 2 or 3. Call me on my cell. We are going to meet up with a buddy of mine that has an old Formula 272 named "NonCents" and spend the night out in Alex. He's coming up from Goose Bay and stopping by Fairview, so we might be down there if I get my azz in gear.

Craig, what color is your friends 272? Maybe I could look ya'll up on Sunday. We might be headed to Fairview also. May have to go out early 'cause my Dad is coming up for early afternoon cookout. My Mom isn't a big boater, otherwise I'd drag her out!!
