Exhaust question.

I have 454 mpi mag's with the Corsa quick and Quiet II on them. They suck. The boat is quiet all the time and I can't stand it. Does anyone know how to remove the mufflers from inside the pipes. I don't want to spend the money for switchables yet but I can' t stand the silence. HELP.
Thanks.
Thanks.

If your referring to the CORSA standard silencer tips, it actually looks like a 6' compressed spring up inside. It is a pain in the a## to get them out. I would recommend that you just get replacement tips. I definately noticed the sound difference (they bark) and 200 rpm. FYI the 4" angle-cut CORSA direct replacement is part #1100.

I took out my baffles last summer on stock 454 mags and stock manifolds. I lost 25 rpm when I took them out.
Mine were the glas pack type that were slipped inside the pipe. Stock manifolds like a little back presure. Over the winter I switched to Gils with ni baffles. The sound is lower and not as loud/anoying, as the merc manifolds with no baffles.
I picked up about 75 rpm when I went to the Gils.

If it's any help....I bought my tips for a little over $100 used (barely). Look around in the classifieds, post a wanted add.....or look on ebay. Sometimes you can find them cheap...and with a few hours work, it'll sound just like you want.
