Checking over my wiring and notice wiring is different than diagram. Can anyone tell me if their top plug or bottom plug on coil goes to the distributer. Thanks. 7 mm coil wire lead is facing towards the back of the boat on the port side.Thanks

The reason I ask is my plugs look like they are burning strange. If you look in the merc manual it sais you have a reversed polarity on your coil. Mine is opposite of the diagram in the manual. If someone could look at theirs that would be great. Maybe the manual is a misprint.
