Default Found this part wedged in my drive any idea?

Took my boat out of the water today to install new new muffler tips and fix my inoperative speedo and found this aluminum piece wedged in where the speedotube enters the top of the lower unit. Does anyone have an idea what it is and where it could have come from? Nothing seems to be missing.Thanks.

Afler checking the schematics on BAM's website it looks like it is a lower swivel pin. My gimbal has one so I don't know where this one came from. Is this a wear item that is replaced?

G.L - I have two sets of HPI's arriving today if UPS ever gets here. Pulled the boat out this morning and removed the old exhaust tips. Came back to the house to pick up the mufflers and they have not been dropped off yet. UPS tracking shows them out for delivery this morning at 5AM. How's the beast running? Hope you are babying it for a while..... hey, that was an unintended pun

It sure looks like a lower swivel pin to me. Have you had anyone work on your boat lately?

Boat is new to me this year. They dealer mentioned that there was a cotter type pin loose or missing in the steering that they would be fixing, maybe that was it. There is a lower cotter pin installed on that drive. Maybe they replaced the old one with new one and left the old one on the drive . I am surprised that it stayed there. Could it have come from anywhere else on the drive?
