A public "thanks" to Pakinair and a testament to the power of "The board" !!
About a month and a half ago I posted a thread about the gearcase on my Promax 300. I needed a used or rebuilt gearcase. New the gearcase was 4800 retail but even if I wanted to pay that, the part was on backorder from Mercury so I would be on a waiting list with no ETA. I needed a left hand fleetmaster gearcase. Scott (Pakinair) called me and told me he was chatting with someone on AOL that was selling him a used gearcase. I spoke with the guy and worked out a deal for $800 including shipping !! I had my mechanic look it over and it looks great. I thought I would spend the summer boatless but thanks to Scott I will be able to get out there hopefully next weekend. Just wanted to say thank you !!

DAMN IT!!! SOME SOB MUST HAVE BEEN DOING GOOD DEEDS UNDER MY NAME AGAIN 
(glad it all worked out for you.. the one I got from him was top notch as well for the 15 minutes I ran it before I hit a log and tore it off
