Exclamation Infiniti Fx's ?

A guy in work is looking at the Infiniti Fx's. Any comments both good or bad welcome.

Nicely equipped vehicles in general. A close friend is a technician for the local Infiniti dealer and is amazed at the longevity of their drivetrain (if properly maintained). The only negative I have about the FX is the poor visibility of the rear window. I realize they have a backup camera but it's still not the actual visual....just something else to get used to IMHO.

There are visibility issues and when we first had ours there was a rather bothersome hot metal smell from underneath. They are very fast for an SUV (will give the Porsche a run) I don't think they can tow too much though. I wouldn't go over 3000-lbs

I find it hard to call these crossovers SUVs.
The space behind the rear seat is alot smaller than any trunk.
And getting in the back seat of an FX is a joke, you really have to duck under the roof line.

I just bought a FX35, loaded with everything the 45 would have except the V8. It is quick, space is just right for me, hardly use the backseat anyway.
I think if it is a SUV you are looking for, this might not do the trick for a family, but it is the best of both worlds, (sport, cargo) for me!
Had a QX4 prior to this, loved it!

I have had mine for over a year with almost 20m miles and love it. Loaded to the gills. I had two Qx4's and loved them as well. It really hauls a**. Not as fast as the Ferrari but it is fun smoking some cars once in a while for grins.

I do not have a problem with the size of the rear window. A small rear window was the one in my old lotus S4S. That is small.

We have a loaded FX35(DVD, Nav, all wheel drive)....wife loves it. It's been a great car but if I had to buy it again I would get the larger motor. The 3.5 is pretty sad on power.

Outside of the lack of power, we love the car.
