Unhappy Hull Damage

I was at LOTO this weekend and got caught between two huge oncoming cruisers. We were going slow (40 mph) and caught huge air. Landing was hard. My question is, is it possible to damage the hull from that type of landing. What do I need to look for? There doesn't appear to be any damage but I am concerned about a few hairline cracks that I plan to fix this winter. Should I have it fixed now or can I wait. The boat is a 1991 32ft. Black Thunder.

Usually you'll damage YOUR SPINE when that happens! Fibreglass and wood is incredible tough, the cracks you speak of,were they stress cracks in gelcoat from before? If they suddenly appeared after this than maybe you'll need a fibreglass pro to look at it,CRUISER WAKES SURE SUCK!!

Huge air at LOTO is an every weekend occurance. Going only 40mph, I really doubt you could have hurt anything, unless there was already a problem.

Must have been some pretty serious wake. You're boat will take it.

It was dark when we got back and we had to leave. I'll get a better look this weekend. You're right about Cruiser wakes. These guys were plowing side by side right up the middle of the lake. On the way back we saw a 40ft + Fountain launch off their same wake and also land hard. I think the guys in the cruisers were enjoying themselves. Thanks for the info!
