Your trim pump may be getting weak and does not have the pressure to overcome the force of the prop pushing the drive down or forward at high speed. At lower speeds there is not as much forward force being exerted.

I ran into this problem a few years back also. Check to make sure the hydraulic lines to the drive are not swapped. The trim pump only puts out 400 psi on the trim down circuit but puts out 2400 psi on the trim up circuit. The trim pump line connections are marked on the pump casing at the connection boss.

BAM parts- trim pump above link.

I kind of got the same except mine will droop slowly down while running or sitting on my trailer.

Sounds like a cylinder with an internal leak

Trim drive down and remove one cylinder. Attempt to trim drive up against a force. Repeat process and compare results.

Trim drive up and remove one cylinder, see if it bleeds down on it own. Repeat process.

Look in the Merc manual and see if there is a pressure test. The first two is what I would do just for the heck of it while emptying a cooler. If they don't provide anything

I would also check the relays mounted near the trim pump, one could be weak and not allowing the full current to reach the trim pump. You might try swapping them with each other. How does the pump fluid look?
