From: Kentucky - where the women are so fast we have to put a governor on 'em!!
Saturday, Buddy, our beloved Yellow Lab/Golden Retriever mix got loose from the back yard, wandered about a half mile to the interstate, and got hit. I am still bummin' bad. First dog I've ever had - been with us for 8 years, and didn't think it would bother me this much. Not as bad as losing my bro' last year, but still pretty tough. I guess I should keep his picture as my avitar as a kind of memorial to him. Whattaya'll think? What should I do with his collar?

Sorry to here of your loss. I have a Rottie that has been with us for 8 years also I can't imagine not having him. Put your buddys collar on a plaque with his name and age and maybe a picture. Steve

Save his collar and when you are ready give it to a puppy.

Budman, definitely keep the avatar. It's never easy to lose a pet, that's for sure. Keep the collar too, and like the others have said make a plaque. It will help you out in the long run.
