Fuel gauge quit working....
#1
... last weekend during a Poker Run on my port tank. I just went out and pulled the access panel to the tank sender and everything looks OK. Pulled the dash and hooked a meter to the power leads to the gauge. I think everything is OK with 11.8V. So I swap the sender leads between the two gauges and the port gauge starts working. Put the lead to the port tank on the star gauge and it stops working.
This indicates to me that the gauges are good, wiring is good, but that I have a bad sender on my port tank. Is that how you interpret it?

Yep, sounds that way to me.
Ground out the wire at the sender on the bad side with ignition on. It should peg the guage at full. That will confirm. West marine has generic senders pretty cheap.
