If its the steel pan which would be the Chevy truck pan it would be 8 quarts . If it the cast aluminum ???

It is the cast aluminum pan that was standard on Mercury Bulldog engines of 540 ci, 500HP, in 1999 Gen 4. It is definitely not the 8 quart steel pan.
