I've been able to attach "scanned" photos okay.

Now I'm trying to learn how to use my digital camera. I've been able to download the photos from the camera into my new computer with no problem. When I try to attach the file to a post I follow the directions, "browse", "download", etc. the blue "progress bar" fills completely in, and then it just seems to stall out at that point. I waited 20 minutes (which seems like way too long) and it had not progressed at all. Do I have to resize a digital file like I do a scanned file? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Nothing like being an "analog" guy in a "digital" world.

Yes, you need to resize. I forget the size but 640x800 seems to stick in my mind.

What blue progress bar is locking up?

Here's what I do.

hit post reply after last post

type message

scroll down to "manage attachments"

click and then click on "browse"

double click your pic you want to post

then click on "upload"

after 5-10seconds finish by clicking "close this window"

click "submit reply" under additonal options section

1024 x 768 is file limit but if your pic is too big, you will get a notification telling you that. Thus you cannot upload photo.
