best lake boat 38 cig or 38 hustler

looking for views on witch boat may be more suitable for KY lake. 388 hustler 525sc (was told 92 mph??) or cigarette top gun looking at 1999 - 2000 Thanks in advance

both great. both perform well. i may be wrong but my feeling is hustler would be a bit faster. 92 with 525s is possible as 500s regularly took that boat to 88 and even 90 in right conditions (low fuel load, 2 people, cool NY weather in say february...)
cigarette will always be a cigarette but i feel hustler has more modern lines. the front deck has a very nice flowing design and i like the integrated swim platform. but it's all about taste at this point: traditional, square look vs. more modern, flowing lines.
anyway, you're lucky to be in this position. i don't think you can go wrong with either of those.

I can't speak for the Top gun as I have never owned one. I can tell you that my Slingshot has been a great boat. I would also say that 92mph w/525's sounds pretty close. Both are very nice boats in my opinion. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the Hustler.
