Yes, they use them many places......not where I live (yet) but in OC. Doesn't matter who's driving......the ticket goes to the registered owner.

It is all about revenue enhancement. There are no points on your license, they just want a little cash from you. What I like is the companies that put these things in and administer the program get a cut of all the cash-kind of an incentive to drop the delay a little huh?

Those have been around for awhile, I used a couple on the Supra. It just overexposes the plate and you can get the same stuff in a spray form or you can get the ones that blur it out from an angle.

Its a total catch-22. You make your plate more reflective to make camera pictures unreadable, and at the same time, you are making yourself more reflective for more accurate radar and laser guns readings from live Police officers. Just watch out for cameras in your area. They don't disguise them well.
