Default inner transom plate installation?

The bravo inner transom plate has vertical slots for the bolts. Should I try to mount it higher or lower in the slot? It seems that this could ultimately affect the engine alignment. Thanks, Chris

Default Re: inner transom plate installation?

The slots are to allow for different thickness transoms. The "tube" in the center of the outer assembly goes into the hole in the center of the inner plate to align the inner plate up and down. One problem that I have seen is that there is enough side to side rotation play that can aggravate alignment with an existing front plate mount installation.
