89 242 SS - What's behind the door?
#1
Hey, just brought my 242 home yesterday, unfortunately the weather is supposed to be crap for the next week so she may be staying on the trailer for awhile.
Near the front on the port side of the cockpit, in front of the "shotgun" seat, is a smoke colored plastic door that unlocks with a "circle" key. It's identical to the door on the starboard side under the dash where my VHF is sitting right now. I didn't get a key for this and apparently it must have been lost for awhile because there are some gouge marks around the keyhole like somebody was trying to coax it open.
What's behind that door?

Do you have a door or switchpanel or ? on the port side of your boat, inside the cuddy and probably very close to the bulkhead? Does it have a "circle key" lock on it?
Thanks!

OR if you have tripple A or even if not a lock smith will come over there and make you a new key for ussually about 50 bucks or so.
