I use to race in that boat back in 1993 on the National Circuit. Marc Franz and the former Steve Simon (Donzi) raced it for a couple years. It was a runner. Wellcraft Sponsored it. The original name was "CF-xpress". It was campaigned out of Thunder Marine in Newport Beach, CA. Craig Archer rigged it at his shop in Costa Mesa, CA. This boat was the very first twin engine application to use the Blackhawk drives. I think right out of the box she gained 7 mph. At the time we were running 90+ mph in that 28' boat. We had to idle the boat on 1 motor because 2 would almost put her on plane. Fun times (Scary too).
