I am picking up a tall deck 4 bolt truck motor and i am going to start to piece together my winter project. I was wondering if a late 80's early 90's truck tall deck 427-454 has 7/16 rods in it. i am looking at 3 different motor combos and am considering options. what would the factory rod length's be in a tall deck? I have heard you can go as big as 4.41 bore in this block? Is this possible without hard block filler? Are there any drawbacks to hard block filler in a marine application?
