So what is the limit of #6 drive?
#1
No I am not putting one on anything... (Dont think I could afford to touch one of those)
But seeing 51' Outerlimits with tripple 1000+hp engines, with six's, made me wonder, what are they good to? Have not read of one breaking.
Thanks

Input ratings are 1000 HP and up to 1000 foot pounds of torque.
Of course they will handle more....but that is the rating

if thats the rating on a six it must be good for 175% of that. when reggie set the 171 mph kilo record he was running 1500hp sterlings. so maybe there good for 2000. i have ssm#3a's with 1.5 ratio and have been told by several people that these will handle 1000hp whats merc rate these for 800? ratman

If my memory serves me correct Randy at Cobra has Shredded more then one.
If your over the manufactures limit and your a animal on the sticks it will happen.
The more drives you have the easier it is on them.
