Added Subwoofer - EASY
#1
I just installed a subwoofer in my boat. While thinking the existing system was pretty good. (Kenwood x 45w x 6 speakers and one amp for cabin) I added this Bazooka subwoofer; http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...0&I=204SM10AHP It was easy to install (about 1 Hr.) and wow what a difference! I just mounted it under the rear bench in a corner and wired to the existing speakers and the to the battery. It has a auto on/off feature so you dont have to wire it to the helm or stereo. I also bought the remote control too. It's not a $10,000 system but it sure has added a lot of punch to the system.

ANyone got a link to a place that offers this sub at a more reasonable price? I need some low-end grunt for my basic 4 speaker system - don't want to go fancy, and prefer something that has its own amp, like the Bazooka. What about their standard auto units? Anyone using them in their boat?

FWK - yes i did buy them from Crutchfield. No one here had any in stock (marine version) and most were the same price. After I added tax to it it was a better deal and better delivery from Crutchfield. 2 Days.
