Default New I.T.S. top caps

Just got these today. They are the I.T.S. style but without the steering mount. Chris at sterndrive specialst got them for me at under $200 a piece. His number is 315-623-7642.

I think that is going to be a very nice piece and satisify most users of the Bravo drive. I am running the ITS cap and I dont like to keep my prop in the water, just no fun. But I am RH drive, so not much load on the cap. I may have to pick one up to get rid of the tail on mine!!

Nice buy! And Chris is topshelf!

How easy will they be to install? Is there more to it than just bolting them on?

They bolt right up, but if you have a depth mike it would not hurt to compare the depth of the thrust bearing recess to the cap you are removing.

Part number for the non-ITS is 865507A04, the ITS version is 840838T1 but the steering attachment is only going to be useful if you have the ITS rear cover also. If you use the ITS style, make sure to use studs to attach the cap. Actually the studs are a good idea in any case.

Not billet, but they do have a steel tower. Much stronger than stock. I have not heard of anybody breaking one yet.
