Thumbs up AT LONG LAST...275 PICS

Check out the link below for long awaited 275 pics. It looks a lot like a 272 with maybe a different deck and redesigned swim platform area.

We saw one at the Chicago boat show. It does look just like a 272 with a little new molding here ahd there mostly on the tail end. The dealer said it was even the same hull as the 272.

Too bad Baja didn't offer windshields with hard, straight lines intead of the curvy, swervy, euro stuff. I stick w/ the Outlaw and mess up the Mrs. hairdoo.

Couldn't agree more with Scandaga! I don't like that euro design and windshield!! Outlaw is the way to go. Though I've seen some nice 38 specials and such that are killer.

Saw it at the NY boat show... no anchor locker, and the sun pad is curved up in the middle, so that its basically useless to lay on..... A step in the wrong direction if you ask me...

Actually, i'm gonna step in here and rebuff a lil bit. Saw the one at the chicago boat show. I talked at length with the dealer. The hull is the same, from the rubstrip up it's all new. From what I saw, they addressed alot of the problems that I didn't like the 272 for. It has more headroom in the cuddy, it has larger hatches that are now big enough to actually crawl out of. The passenger seat has more legroom due to the dash being scalloped back. Also has a larger glovebox. Grab handles are now recessed. The back seat is more comfortable. The rear sundeck does appear to be a step backwards, but when ya lay down on it, it's actually really nice. No performance changes tho.......ugh. He said with the 496 mag HO, it'll run 66. So basically all the changes were for comfort and convenience... Asking price with the Boss Pack, Mag HO, and trailer was 68K, so about 6K more than last year's 272. Not sure if all those things are worth 6K or not, that's up to you.....

I haven't seen the 275 in person yet, but if all of the changes outlined above are true, then it will be a disappointment. I own a 272 Shooter and love the boat - the biggest problem with the 272 is that Baja doesn't put enough power in them. Whether it's the old 502 or the new 496 Mag HO, the boat needs more power - trust me, I know. I'm currently running 525 - 550 hp and the boat handles it great - now runs in the upper 70's as it should. Baja needs to focus less on the "creature" comforts and more on performance. When I bought my boat I bought it for looks, handling, price. If I were concerned about more headroom in the cabin I would have purchased a cruiser.

Yah, those recessed grab handles will be great for breaking a wrist... dont get me wrong, I like the looks of the boat, but they did not address the power issue, and in my opinion took two steps forward and two steps back, if you know what I mean...

10-4 to everything Dirtlawyer said. That boat could easily handle the 575sc. Why is the HP500 as big as you can get?

O well, get it with a hp500 and whipple it.!
