Exclamation I need a hand with a sender on a Eliminator

I started putting my wiring harness on the 540 today with expectations of dropping it in this weekend. Yes i know i said i was going to drop it in last weekend but hey things got pushed back(my pushrods didn't show up). I now find out that i do not have a oil pressure sender on the old power. I called Eliminator to buy one and their parts guy is on vacation till next week some time. Can NE1 tell me what PN sender i should put on this thing. I would imagine it is a standard analog sender that i could pick up at NAPA or something. It is a 236 eagle and it had a 454 mag in it. The old power was froze broke and did not have a sender, just a hole where it was. I will check and post the pressure range a little later. I checked Bam and i cannot find a mec sender diagram. Eliminator has their own gages( WHO MAKES THEM? MAYBE GAFFRIG). If any one has any experience with eliminators or what sender i should use, let me know.

thanx

Mark

The guages could be Gaffrig or maybe Faria? Is it an 80 PSI guage? Just make sure the sender matches the guage. I once ran a 0-100 PSI guage with the standard 0-80 PSI sender and the pressure read way high. Check the Rex or CP website or give Fred a call at Trick Marine. Auto store senders might work, but I would feel more comfortable getting the exact one for oil pressure.

Hardin Marine made the guages in my Eliminator.....most senders will work but must match the range on your guages. Another words, don't try to use a 0-100 psi sender for a 0-80psi guage.....

I switched all of my guages to livorsi last year and did not have to change any senders...BUT I matched the ranges to what I was taking out.
