Default Cig Cafe 36 CC compared to the Monza 34'

Somewhere in another thread I read that the 34' Monza uses the same mold as the Cig. I wonder if anyone can confirm or deny that.

The true owner of the 9'6" beam cigarette mold has been a question I've asked several people. I even sent Monza an email asking them that very question. No response. There were so many knock off molds produced from the original that the truth of what actually happened to the original is kinda fuzzy. That's a bit of an ellusive question. Does Monza have it? maybe. I've never been able to get an aswer that satisfied my curiosity, so I gave up.

I saw him making the mold many years ago, the cig 33/36 has been produced by Avanti, dakota, midnight, and a zillion others.

The 33 Cig CC was originally from Ocean Hawk ... there's another thread in here not too long ago that covered it pretty well .... not sure about the 9'6" beam though ....

Ron dollar had an Ocean Hawk, Cherokee laid up one for Cig late 90's , its not 9-6. A school boy named Phil had the molds for awhile but the last name escapes me. If you measure the old cigs they should max out a 9-2"

The 33 Cafe was and is the same boat as the Ocean Hawk then and now; and not a 9'6" beam(8'4"?). Never was a Cig design. I don't know that the actual Monza mold was a Cig mold...just the bottom design, and even that was modified a little in '03. Both boats are great runners... I've enjoyed both.
Ocean Hawk has a HUGE cuddy cabin w/head, vanity,v-berth, and some even had AC. Cockpit/Console are a bit more narrow and console is biased toward the rear because of the large cabin, in comparison to the Monza. The Monza console very wide, offering great protection, as well as roominess inside for head/shower. Monza also has large/deep "L" shaped aft seating for 4.
