Default speed estimates ?

2003 31 v-hull with 496 ho's(425hp) with 1.50 bravo 1 drives in fresh water with 26p bravo 1 labbed props runs 74-77 mph gps If I were to add 100hp per side what approx. speed would I pick up ? I know I will have to change the props.

Once you get done, you'll still think, darn, not fast enough!

Tony, if I were you I would LEAVE IT ALONE! 75 mph is plenty fast. Don't give up your reliability.

If you do it, I would say low 80's

Did I miss that you got a new boat?

77mph on the river will put you in a happy place. If your worried about being faster than most I would run it like it is. You might be happily surprised.

Once you burning up a few motors you will understand exactly what Kendall is saying....I agree

You would be better of buying a 31 with 496 mags... save the 6,000 upcharge for the H.O.'s put that towards the 15K it's gonna cost to install 2 Raylar kits.. Figure 6k per kit plus 1,500 per side installation..

IMO a 75 mph 31 with added 200 hp should be 85..

my guess is 1 MPH for every 15 hp added (as a set, 100hp each). So 100 horse is about 7 to 8 MPH more than now

Second that. Buy BN's 31 Sonic with the Mags, and Raylar them. Sounds like a great package.
