Default I.T.S. and a stock Bravo 1 What has to be changed

I have an I.T.S. transom assembly that I am about to install on my boat and was wondering what parts will have to be changed on the drive in order for it to be mounted. It is a slandered Bravo 1. I know of coarse that I need a longer shaft as the I.T.S. has a seven inch set back, but who can sell me a shaft for a standard bravo to fit it. Also will anything else need changing?

The shaft might be a problem, as the one Merc makes is for an XR

does anyone know someone who could make a shaft that would work? Or be able to take the shaft from an XR and weld on the end for a standard Bravo so it could work

magnum27,
I think you meant to spell standard Bravo 1? If so, You could get a set of XZ gears, I dont think the pinion is sold seperately, and you would need the clutch, universal joint assy, shift fork and all the bearings. In other words a total upgrade kit, but using the XZ gears. That would give you the stronger gears, but then you dont have a steel tower. Sounds like the easiest way is an XZ upper, then you need the gimble bearing kit. I have done some mixing and matching to accomodate things like this. Shoot me an email if you have more ???? or want some info on it..
Hope this helps.
