I had Dave(MDG) build me 2 motors. The first one the crank broke. The second one I believe is still running in my old 28 Pantera. I think there are better engine builder's but Dave always treated me well and seemed to be honest. I guess the boat your looking at is a 36 Spectre? I know he was/is a dealer for Spectre and would get the boats with no engines and then rig them himself with 540's.

Dav is a great guy and his work does tend to hold up. I have never heard anyone have a bad deal from him and he is local to me. BJ was probably running his motor at 10k RPMs and doing donuts when it let go

Your correct, I did run full throttle all the time and got about 30 hours before the crank broke. The second engine he built me he used much better$ parts to put up with the abuse. Hope all is well Ted.
