one of the exhaust ports on one of my heads has some severe pitting in the flat outer face where the exhaust gasket mates up. will some jb weld be o.k. to fill in the pitted area? do you think it will hold up or is there a better product for this? thx for any info, ratman

Don't know the temp limit of JB weld, but it is hot as Xxxx at this point. The gasket keeps heat tranfer between the manifold and head to a minimum. I would think you might have better luck with ultra high temp RTV exhaust gasket goog along with a new exhaust gasket. But then, don't know the temp limits of JB Weld before it "burns".

Ratman,
If you are using this on the flange these should work.
