How much power could a Bravo handle if a Bravo could handle power?
Whatever they tell you it's less in a big boat with four blade props. Kind of like drag racing. It's the heavy cars with the big slicks that spit out drive shafts. Would you believe no more than 500 HP? The guy to ask is SteveDavid.

This is a tough Question,,,, But here goes !!!! I will say that a stock Bravo 1 will handle about 400hp thats the early yrs... the later ones will take a little more about 450-475hp,,, the difference is in the weight of the boat and the drivers abilities to throttle and keep the boat in the water ( hooked up),,,,, after that we start talking about the XR series and newer tec gears and shafts,,,, with those upgrades U can run about 650 hp and get some degree of reliability... I know of some boats that are pushing the 750hp range in 10k pound boats with twins,,,,, they rebuild every yr, about 100 hrs...
I think that your 3 engine boat will be harder on the center drive than a twin will be ,, but ,,, thats just my opinion..
Now ,,, lets see what the rest of the world thinks???
Good Luck!!

750 with lake running and being conservative, should run a little over 100 if it is a steep bottom. At least this what my friend ran a few yrs ago.I don't think he ever blew a drive, again only lake running. He upped the power after 1 season and blew like 7 drives the next yr. usually the center drive and you can't get up on two .

I ran 550 HP thru a Bravo for 4 seasons no problem. Got on it once in a while off the line, but I never flew the boat without cutting the power first.
