Is that a water pickup coming off od the rudder, through the 2" stainless braided line?

MOBILEMERCMAN 10-03-2007 09:06 AM

I was studying the pictures about that. In the early shots on the website the rudder pick up was not there, only the transom intake. The intake must have been added after there first test. I wonder if they removed the first after installing the second.

Hopefully this will be a wake-up call for offshore racing and maybe they'll allow surface drives in all of their classes.

Better get those Mercury prop covers off.

Why if the props are from Mercury?

In the pics they are herrings, but using the merc covers. I was wondering at first if they were using merc props, but I guess not.

Congrats on an awesome boat!

speed demon 10-22-2007 09:44 PM

So is that boat a 429v or 449v since there is a 3 to 5 foot extension on the stern? Kinda kidding, but it's definitely longer than a 399.

Congrats on an awesome boat!

Nope, it has only has Hering's on it so far.

Wonder how the new Merc CNC props would perform; hmmmm.

Throttling down and turning the wheel hard is bad. Awesome boat!!

Rik 01-23-2008 04:28 PM

That was a classic chop and turn the wheel manuaver.

Plus it looked like they crossed a swell and the stern and props left the water to initiate the slide. Did the driver get knocked out?

Rik 01-23-2008 05:10 PM

For a whole 5 minutes. Carr was left to ponder that time alone.

MOBILEMERCMAN 03-01-2008 09:28 AM

I am told the first Spiderman boat with Bravos is over seas. The second with 6's is being raced here as Joe Boxer.

SPITFIRE 03-04-2008 12:14 PM

does anyone actually own one of these for their pleasure boat? I've seen a couple for sale for a while, have any been purchased other than to race?

I've seen both boats there at Lake Cumberland in sept. They are on the website, maybe bruce b is also advertising them? Whoever sells it first wins ? :cool-smiley-011:

So its either an open listing type of deal, or somebody needs to update their website....?

stainless 03-05-2008 12:20 PM

I would think that if bruce b sold one of them he would split the profit with randy ? just a guess.

stainless 03-05-2008 12:28 PM

If you look at bullocks website it says order yours now under the pic of the boat

24skaterVA 03-07-2008 05:18 AM

The boat is a "new" 06, when you consider the cost of the boat sitting there I'd think whoever owns the boat would be happy if a bayliner dealer sold it.

candmpartsales 03-25-2008 06:15 AM

For those who love Skater and the 399 stay tuned...........

24skaterVA 03-25-2008 08:48 AM

So what does this speed demon run with NXTs?

TeamSaris 04-03-2008 06:07 AM

Is it related to the 399 Skater?

Factionpowerboat 04-03-2008 06:47 AM

Speed will depend on which blue power package you choose. With 1075's you should be in the 120-130 range.

You should learn some OSO manners and not advertise in someone else's section.

Be the way "should run" isn't the same as does run. Fact is you must not know.
