Dont replace the powerhead have it rebuilt. They can fix just about anything, there is a guy named ruck that can weld the block back together.

Its alot cheaper

I just talked to somebody at Jay Smith. He told me the same thing. I am going to have him send me a crate and send him the bad powerhead. Gonna have him get the block fixed and do the mods he recommends with the injectors, pistons, etc. Then I am going to have him go through the other two motors. Sounds like it will be less to have the repair and mods than if I had bought a used powerhead.

you probably talked with Jay, he is a really nice guy.

He let me watch him rebuild mine. I forgot about the injectors he sends them out to be tested. You will freak out when you get it back how smooth they run.

Tell him i recommended him.

? Am I asking questions?

Jay Smith is convinced Ruk can fix the block. If they can't then I will be buying a powerhead, block, or whatever I find to fill the bill. Right now I have been removing lots of rotten balsa from the bulkhead aft of the cockpit. I Should be done with the removal of all the affected material on the back half of this bulkhead after next weekend. Once I am putting in new balsa and rebuilding I will post some pics.

Have John call me or email me/PM me his number. I have lost it. I was actually going to ask him some questions about how he typically used the ballast tank and some other things.
