New to me 36 Skater need set up
I just bought a 2006 36' Skater with 970HP Quad Whipples and # 6 SSM's (currenlty 1.24 to 1) but am changing to 1.35 to 1 when it gets here. What props are best? I am looking for an all around handling boat not just a top end speed queen. i hope to use it a few times a year in the So. Cal. Ocean but mostly at Lake Havasu and Lake Mead. Is anybody using any drive spacers?

Congrats! What is your current drive height? Changing the ratio will slow it down up top and increase mid range acceleration and put the boat deeper in the water. What props were you spinning at the steeper ratio? Try to make one change at a time. Welcome to Club Skater!:cool-smiley-027: Gerry |
