First off everyone have a great and SAFE holiday weekend. If anyone gets a chance to get out on the water it would be cool if we posted some pics of our boats in action this weekend.
I'll post some for sure.

I heard from a Buddy who lives on the water on the Chesapeake , he said for sure things are slow because of 4.00 gas . I think this is going to be a rough year for boating . I know you have to very wealthy to own a new Skater and 800.00 fill-up won't affect those people , but some of us are on Food stamps .

I normally take all of the pictures on my boat, but this weekend I had a passanger with a camera.
1st pic, heading down (south) Charlotte Harbor on Sat around 10:30.
2nd pic, in the Gulf, at the southern area of North Captiva Island, where Hurricane Charley connected the Guld with the bay.
3rd pic, same spot. You can see the rollers, which are quite unusual for here.

Don't really have any other outboard to compare them to. The only other O/B power I had, was the merc V6 175hp sportjet in a 16ft jet boat.
The 300XS DFIs are amazingly fuel efficent. I run 2.3 - 2.4mpg at 100mph. but that is with a hull that is extremely efficent. They run very quiet, and do not smoke.
