Default looking for a 28 or 30 w/ outboards

Im startin to think outboards are the way to go. Ive spent an entire summer of dicking with my motors and boat and then finally blowing one up while its IDLING on the freakn TRAILER as everyones on their way to the lake for 4th of July weekend..

So.. Starting to think a smaller cat with outboards is in the near future.. Id like a 30, but a nicely equipped 28 will work. Id rather have a plain jane 30 than almost anything...

the reasoning for the outboard decision is the same reasons most people switch over id think.. reliability, space in the cockpit, reliability, fuel efficiency, insurance, reliability, etc..

Does anyone know of a 30 with O/B's listed elsewhere besides here? Something in the $75k range.

Appears to be on the "right" coast. Don't think you will find a 30 for those numbers.

Length: 30' 7"
Beam: 9'
Height: 52"

Length: 28'
Beam: 8'4"
Height to Top of Fairing: 56"

That is from Skater's website.

RIK from Arneson:

The 28' Skater is 8'4" beam (100")

Read this thread- the 30 is HUGE compared to the 28

I took a test drive in a 28 and it was too small. My buddy has a 32 and that is a great size. I hear the 30 is closer to the 32 in size, but you wont find a 30 for $75K.

This twin OB 32 just popped up in the classifieds and it is in my town. I have seen the boat a few times and it looks great on the water and on the trailer.
