Here Are A Few Pics Of The Restoration Work On My 32 Skater Classic .We did all Fab Work In House Including Making A Mold To Make The Fiberglass Motor Well That Never Was Installed On Older 32 Classic Ob Model , In My Opinion It Now Looks Finished Off Compared To The Open And Unfinished Way It Came From Skater . I Also added 3 More Inches Of Transom , Made Out Of 3-3/4 -5 Ply Plywood Bonded With Vinylester Out Of Boat Then Cut A Pattern And Then Bonded New Transom To Exist Transom. The Primer In Sikkens Poly Surfacer That Will Be Blocked Before Paint . Also The Classic 1 Inch Wide Stainless Rub Rail Was Fit And Installed Then Removed To Save The New Paint From Scratching . Also pic of fitting the new CMC stainless jack plates

Great work larry!

What did you use to bond the two together?
Is there a laminate in between?

Thank you for the kind words ! Trust me I wish I had the funds of most Skater owners , but I don't , but I do have skills from 20 years of restoring cars and a few race boats . As far as transom , I started with three -five ply pieces of cdx plywood about 3 ft x 4 ft , in between each piece of plywood I used 1.5 once chopped mat and bonded all three together with Vinyl ester resin ( twice the price of Polyester resin , it has less shrinkage and my Skater is VE and Kevlar ) I used 20 concrete block and left it to cure overnight . I bonded the new transom to existing transom with Vinylester putty,( 250 dollars for 5 gallons ) and I used clamps as well as motor mount bolts to sandwich the two together
