Just found this thread. What an awesome combination! Will this be the first Skater 30 with LS small blocks ever built? How much weight savings compared to big blocks? I would expect the balance and handling to be great.

yes it is the first and you save about 350 lbs per motor

was anything else changed to keep the orginal CG? taking 700 lbs out of the bilge should change it up a bit...

what is the actual wt per motor? 350 less then a bbc? how bout compared to an ilmore boat?

Those LS engines should be about 1/2 the weight of a BB.
