Hey guys I was wondering if you can help me out. I bought a 1999 28ft skater from a guy in michigan, he did not no much about the boat, he used it 2 times and broke a lower unit and put it away for 3 years. So now I am trying to find out if anybody knows the first owner, he is from Alabama his name is Larry Davis.I would just like to find out some stuff about the motors, like what was done with them performance wise or maybe somebody on this form knows the Boat. Its all white with painted silver 3.0 liter mercs, white with blue and grey int.
Thanks,Ray
Thanks,Ray

FYI just because they say there has been no Ethanol in the tanks or the stations say its not in their gas does not make it so! My 28 is having the tanks done now and showed early stages of ethanol poisoning from gas stations who stated there was no ethanol in their gas and previous a owner who also thought there had been no exposure to ethanol. You need to have them checked and watch it very carefully to prevent major damage to the hull. We caught mine very early!

I know the previous owner of this boat before the guy in alabama had it. It came from Florida and the original owner got the boat bare from Skater and did all the rigging himself. The motors were 250's worked up to aboout 275. There was a red folder that came with the boat that had all the rigging and paperwork. It had diagrams of how it was rigged and even invoices for the boat and motors. The best we saw out of the boat was about 105, then we blew a lower, after that my buddy took the boat down to Florida and sold it not long after that. The boat was very clean.
