Hey no problem, This boat has an interesting history for sure. Who was accurate marine?
It sounds like you know some things about this Skater.
Any stories that you'd like to share about this 36 would be greatly appreciated.
Also, anybody out there have any photos and/or historic info on this 36 please feel free to chime in on this thread, ( I'm sure Dave won't mind)

My vote is on design (top to bottom) #2. Dave's work and attention to detail is beyond words.

Yes, I'm glad to have my Skater in Dave's hands for sure.

Yea i guess its time for an update . . . . or a teaser for the owner. Anybody got a cigar? :D

Had the boat outside today, getting close to wrapping things up here. Got some incidentals like the tunnels and trim details but she's on a downhill run. :drink:

Tell ya somethin else, I'm glad we decided to fill in ALL the holes on the boat. Nice clean slate to start with.

Dave, awesome work! You definitely got the touch!

Can't believe the transformation. :drink:

It also looks like you're doin' some patch work on the inside of the tunnels towards the bow. Are you getting the hull ready for painting? if so, what colour will the hull be?

...and who's doin' the motors? how many HP/motor?

Yes the inside hull/sponsons are getting touched up as well. Hull sides, deck and dash are done in PPG's single stage Concept and the color is a nice clean white that i have been using for years, its a fleet white #91050. The color is brighter and cleaner then the OEM Skater color, we made a last minute decision to use it instead. We also decided through out the project to pretty much fill in everything. It had deck vents and a big bow rail that was also eliminated as well as every screw hole and deck fitting. Its pointless to leave things like the old gps antenna and snap holes when most will be replaced with something newer or mounts differently. I believe its getting four 2.8 Offshore Mercs at i think 280HP each.

We did decide to leave the race style lifting rings on the deck because . . . . . well . . . . . there cool :D
