http://s769.photobucket.com/user/airlandandsea/profile/ Ha not so dumb afterall The boat was advertised as a 24' Skater. There are engines but I have my own pr of 1999 Mariner offshore 225 EFI's. I no nothing of outboard setup of my engines, depth to run Etc, I don't even know if they will work on this boat. I do know they run strong. This is a project that I know nothing about yet, but am excited and will soon enough. He will include his engines for 8K more, not run but spool over smoothly, no guarantee. If anyone figures these engines are worth the price I will do a compression test before purchase. No props, and I have no Idea were to start size or style. Boat on trailer stored inside heated shop for 7 yrs, only brought outside for pix. States gel, transom, bottom and floors mint. Missing seat bottoms and back bench, anyone has the parts?. $8K with everything including trailer, steering, less engines. After checking pix of other 24 dashes, guess it is a Skater. The last picture is of this knuckleheads boat, launched without the holly fukc plug in. The guy was a total duchebag I lent him $50 at the bar, never saw him again, left his boat for the marina salvage and clean up crew. Bastard!!!

Andy, to post pics do the following:

1. go to your account at Photobucket.com

2. click on the picture such that the image is centered and large (in size)

3. over on the right there's an area where the title says "IMG" , click once inside the white box next to "IMG"
the characters will disappear , and the word "copied" will appear

4. go now to OSO, inside the "Quick Reply" box (where you type words) , right click your mouse and select "paste"

5. click the button "Post Quick Reply"

6. done

works the same in SnF

Did it. Bad news, he wants to keep the engines. 225 EFI's is what I have, should be good for towing tubers.

Your 225's should work.

Please post some pics of the Mariner engines.

New here (outboard) so bare with me. Just bought a 1984 24' Skater had 2.5 280 hp engines. Owner removed and sold them before I got there so I have no idea prop shaft location. I have a pair of 1997 Mariner Offshore 225's 25" shaft length and stock. Can you swap out ECU's for more rpm, reflash?. What should I use for lowers, do I need mids, what will work if anything with these power heads. Yes I know I need the old engines back no he wont sell. Limited money for a month or two. I want to play now. What props size pitch 3-4 blade round ear cleaver?, shaft length to start, prop shaft height from what point on the tunnel bottom/ X dimension to start with. I rigged my 30' Velocity 1600hp so I know some stuff. OB engines and what will swap/work is new to me. Thanx for any info. Andy...
