Older 40's handling ?

The 40SS has a 12' beam and has 5 steps. The 40' Classic has a 2 step bottom and a 11' beam. Both 40's are great running boats but the 40SS is the new and improved model.

Thanks for the input , it' seems like there are deals on some of the older 40's . I am looking to get another go fast and thought it might be a good way to go . If anyone knows of any , please forward me the information . Thanks again
