Default 32 Skater Restoration O/b

Here are Updated Pics . There Are A Few Things Like Hatch , Console And Arched Shifter Cover I Made Molds For And Made My Own Fiberglass Parts . Sure I Could Call Skater And Order A Console For $ But Didnt Like Anything Made ( Wanted One That Goes Under Dash ) So I Made One . The Shifter Cover They Make Is Alum And Snaps Together ( Really Mickey Mouse ) So I Made Composite Part With Built In Threads . The Hatch Is One Off With Built In Cooler , Flush Lids With Custom Hidden Hinges I Made In House ( Zero Exposed Screws )

Pics Of Rear Cabin , Skater Logo Cut From 3/8 Figerglass And Will Worked Down To 1/8 High And Bonded To Hatch And Body Work And When Done Will Look Like It Was Always There. When I layed up hatch I buried 3/8 alum 4x 6 plates in layup and cannot be seen , this way all I did was tap holes for hinges with zero visible hardware . I also incorporated small gas strut on hinge and is almost unseen when opened .

More Pics. I wanted to keep dash simple and un-cluttered , key swithes will be under dash on angle bracket, I hate to see them , engine kills will be on side of console I see other Skaters with every inch of of dash cluttered with somthing , keep it simple !! To the left if a grab handle and as of now Skater logo will be on left side

Larry, luv the metalic dash, the invisble hinge and the cooler..

But I think the raised-lettering on the Skater logo tops it all, don't sand away too much of it...that's the first I've ever seen...

Larry, can you take pics of the quarter hatch in closed position?

I wanna see how flat it is and the invisible hinges.

Show your designs to Peter, I bet he'd be very interested. Along with the raised-lettering Skater logo.

Awesome Job!!! Do you have more pics on how you made the console? I going to start making one in a month for my scout.... May need some pointers.
