46 in Classifieds
Anybody know anything about the 46 that has been listed in the classifieds by Lake Cumberland for a long time. The boat is a burnt orange with lime green stripes.
|
build sheet on that boat was around 1.3m. Never been in the water, rigged by TNT. Build went bankrupt before owner took delivery. No motors but were originally 1200 cobras before they were removed. Boat will go as a short sale.

The boat was built for the owner of Cartec who bought a lot of things with the floorplan or banks money until he got caught. Currently serving 33 months for various crimes. The boat may have multiple liens.

I was looking thru some old pics and came across these. I visited TNT in july of 08 and took some pics of everything they were rigging in the shop, just now realizing this is the same boat. Motors were just goin in, appeared to be cobra 1200s custom painted to match

That is crazy! Even the bank has to be smarter than that. $700k with no engines. You could buy Gus's for less and his is a 2012 Skater with bad azz Sterlings 1550HP++ and every option you can think of. |
What bank has it?
Brett |
Are they trying for a Guiness record??? the longest (defined as) "New" unpowered boat that hasn't lost a penny in value.....
|
I would like to know what bank also?
|
What is the current asking price?

Yes, that is the price they quoted.

Is 500k the price without power and drives or just without power??

Comes with everything including tail pipes.. just no power. The bank has the title and is willing to guarantee against any other loans or liens on it.
It's still a little expensive for what it is. I offered $400 and they walked away. I think thats probably the value that the market will bare on that one... high performance boats are pennys on the dollar right now. Tom |
Will be a tough sell for 500K
|
Even at 400 thou plus at least 100 thou for two engines, big enough to propel that thing to today's acceptable standards in speeds, plus sorting out and any other surprises, there are a lot of nice cats out there for half a million plus, with no infamous History.
|
At 400k as is, if the intention of the buyer is to keep & enjoy the powerboat, then I would say he made a good purchase. If the buyers intention is to install a pair of name brand 1200's & sell at a profit, then I would surmise that to be a tight spot.

Pennies on the dollar is just a phrase, meaning he purchased it for a small amount of money. It's not meant to be taken literally. Me on the other hand, I paid an arm and a leg. LOL!
