46 in Classifieds

Anybody know anything about the 46 that has been listed in the classifieds by Lake Cumberland for a long time. The boat is a burnt orange with lime green stripes.

jmbtile 04-10-2011 04:36 PM

build sheet on that boat was around 1.3m. Never been in the water, rigged by TNT. Build went bankrupt before owner took delivery. No motors but were originally 1200 cobras before they were removed. Boat will go as a short sale.

The boat was built for the owner of Cartec who bought a lot of things with the floorplan or banks money until he got caught. Currently serving 33 months for various crimes. The boat may have multiple liens.

Rumor has it he may have been singing like a canary.

I heard the same and I totally Agree about the courts... BUT... When he gets out I bet he's going to spending a lot of time looking over his shoulder.... :violent040:

$700k w/o power is ridiculous. Good luck to the bank that thinks they will get even half that amount. Now I can see why Blume made his comment.

I was looking thru some old pics and came across these. I visited TNT in july of 08 and took some pics of everything they were rigging in the shop, just now realizing this is the same boat. Motors were just goin in, appeared to be cobra 1200s custom painted to match

Still on Lake Cumberlands website.

That is crazy! Even the bank has to be smarter than that.
$700k with no engines.

You could buy Gus's for less and his is a 2012 Skater with bad azz Sterlings 1550HP++ and every option you can think of.

black thunder 46 02-20-2013 09:43 AM

What bank has it?
Brett

speicher lane 02-20-2013 04:13 PM

Are they trying for a Guiness record??? the longest (defined as) "New" unpowered boat that hasn't lost a penny in value.....

TMR 03-12-2013 08:34 PM

I would like to know what bank also?

Comanche3Six 03-13-2013 01:22 PM

Yes, that is the price they quoted.

Figure in depreciation for it being 5 and quickly coming up on 6 years old, a new one would look pretty good with 2014 on the back.

precisiondetails 03-16-2013 05:04 PM

Is 500k the price without power and drives or just without power??

everything in the pic

Tborisch 03-18-2013 08:26 AM

Comes with everything including tail pipes.. just no power. The bank has the title and is willing to guarantee against any other loans or liens on it.

It's still a little expensive for what it is. I offered $400 and they walked away. I think thats probably the value that the market will bare on that one... high performance boats are pennys on the dollar right now.

Tom

DrGaryDC 03-18-2013 08:37 AM

Will be a tough sell for 500K

soggy bottom 03-18-2013 11:35 AM

Even at 400 thou plus at least 100 thou for two engines, big enough to propel that thing to today's acceptable standards in speeds, plus sorting out and any other surprises, there are a lot of nice cats out there for half a million plus, with no infamous History.

Comanche3Six 03-18-2013 12:09 PM

At 400k as is, if the intention of the buyer is to keep & enjoy the powerboat, then I would say he made a good purchase. If the buyers intention is to install a pair of name brand 1200's & sell at a profit, then I would surmise that to be a tight spot.

Yes, penny's on the dollar. Sorry you disagree... I know what I just paid for my boat. It's penny's on the dollar... So you think the market is fine?

fantastixvoyage 03-19-2013 09:53 PM

:party-smiley-004: Spill it Tom...what did you buy now?!

Penny's on the dollar would mean that you can buy $1million boat for $20000. Where do find those deals?????

Comanche3Six 03-20-2013 09:45 PM

Pennies on the dollar is just a phrase, meaning he purchased it for a small amount of money. It's not meant to be taken literally. Me on the other hand, I paid an arm and a leg. LOL!
