When you called me about the boat I told you the boat was ready to go with exception of having motors ECM's programmed properly. You were told not to run the boat by me and the owner of the boat. You decided to run boat even though you were advised not to run until engine builder flew into see you and program/map ECM's. You chose to run boat then called me and told me it would not run right and it was back firing and popping which was most likely detonation which was also the assumption by the people you dropped the motors off to after you blew them up.

Even though I did "not" sell you the boat, did not take your trade and did not deliver you the boat I offered to throw $500.00 towards you to help pay the $1,000 the builder wanted to fly down and program your motors which you did not want to participate in. You then tried to run motors again and called about more problems with more back firing.

I think this would all be mute today if you did not run boat as advised. Shogren did not sell you this boat. The customer sold directly to you, met you in TN and took your trade and you paid seller.

In closing, I am sorry for your problems but feel the could have easily been avoided. I do not have 38's but I have a set of 17 X 37.5 that you could use to test if it helped.

Best of luck.

Regards,

Scott Shogren
So, Shogren did not sell this boat, correct?

Parker, the props on the boat are perfect. As we have discussed at least six times now you need different gears to go really fast. I mentioned to you the boat should run 130 with the current gears and props. You are there. Now put the 1:35 gears in the dry sumps sixes as we discussed. I had a super deal lined up with Cobra Power in Miami to do a gear swap that will be much cheaper than buying new $10,000-12,000 props that will not work. He never heard from you but may still want to trade. I will also advise you to call Leon as he and I have both run the boat with many different props. We both agree the boat runs best with four blades not five. Too much stern lift on that small boat with the fives. We originally advertised the boat $50,000 more than you paid for it and with five blade props. After a test run with the fives it was determined the fours were a better prop. You were both aware the price paid by your partner was very low for that package knowing it needed a few things to dial it in. You were both told and completely aware what the boat had and what it needed.
History lesson. That boat ran 170+ with 1200s, I ran it a respectable 117 with 525's. I never set it up for top speed just a fun boat on our local lakes. I used the MTI for the go fast runs. It is a great boat and you will have a lot of fun when it is sorted out. Welcome to ultra-high performance boating.

Thank you...

Thumbs up To answer your question

That is correct, we (Shogren Performance Marine) did not sell the 32 Skater, rig the boat or work on the boat so lets not try to stir it up to drag the Fountain 38EC issue into another thread on the forum.

Have a great Easter.
