Classic Deck to Flat Deck conversion with Wrap around Windshield!!

Has anyone taken the Classic Deck with Canopies and converted it to a flat deck, left the rub rail and then put the wrap around windshield??? I have seen some Skaters that have taken the rear extension off and made the back flat and left the quarter canopies. I'm thinking of taking the canopies off of my boat and making the top a flat deck. Just leaving the rub rail and the edges the same. and putting the Wraparound windshield on it. Just wanting to update the boat this winter and looking for ideas!!

Here's a modified 40 Skater that I had a hand in.
Makes a real big change.

I think boat customs is who you want to call. I think they can retrofit a wrap around to your deck or you can go all out like Skates build thread http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...onversion.html
A lot of work but sure makes a difference.

When Jim let go of Freedom and took ownership of the 46' Double Take, he stated a wrap around was in the plans.... which is logical as he is one of two fabricators of the wraps. Beautiful boat but the wrap will top where it is now!

I was looking to do this on a 28 race deck 2 years ago and both manufacturers aero and boat customs/lee aerospace use a fiberglass reciever that you can build in your existing deck and bolt on the wrap arround screen .
You also could ask glassdave here on the board that was who I was talking about to do the job for me but I decided to go another route due to the $$$

Machz although this thread is 4+ yrs, this seems to be what you are looking for. This was done by Skater but kept the edges which is one of the things i would want to eliminate on a classic. I would also contact Smart Marine. What those boys are doing there is over the top. This just doesn;t have the rub rail which i too would remove. Here's a few. Race In Peace Boys
