If they could be made to enhance the look, didn't look like an afterthought, and were effective and reasonably priced, I'd be interested.

Man this thread is getting ridiculous. All I was looking for was guys with a 28's that were interested in maybe putting a deal together for a WINDSHIED. NOT A WINDSCREEN, WIND FLAPS or any other home made device.

DR... Sorry to muddy up your thread with a salty reply, but my point was that the factory... for the owner of a 28 who wanted protection from the wind... suggested, supplied, and would fit Finney's windflaps. Since that was the factory solution I bought a set, and upon opening the box I wasn't impressed enough to start drilling holes in my boat. Hence my interest in your project...
Speaking of windshields, here are a couple of pictures I saved of a 28 that was in the classifieds of either here or S&F recently. There was also a thread about the boat (no rubrail, triple 280's) that touched on making the windshield. The uprights were cast out of aluminum, I believe, and that alone had to be a huge project. There was a suggestion that he would make more, but then the thread faded away. After seeing it , I don't know if it appeals to my eye.
Peterbilt's post sums it up best for me... And I'll look forward to what you come up with.

Too bad these threads get off topic so quickly.
Maybe the OP should have said something along the lines of:
This thread is for 28 Skater owners only.
Please only post if you are interested in a windshield.
If you don't have a 28, and you only want to post negative comments about windshields, please don't post.
