what seats do ya have???? your legs must be damn near straight out and AZZ on the floor :lolhit: is there room to create a drop down cockpit (3-4"???)??? anything under the bucket seat area to be worried about??? that would take some work though.

there is no room to drop the cockpit, the deck is sitting on the boat, just the thickness of the core itself.

If I remember correctly SkaterJim installed custom Racing seats, not sure the manufacturer, he originally did it as a weight savings, I think Jims best speed is 124.

would love to see what he has. I will eventually change out the original high back buckets in mine so I would like to see some options.

I think they might have been Recaro?? They were uncomfortable, but light weight.PM SkaterJim, he has a vast knowledge of 28 Skater, not sure if he will share all of his Secrets to speed:eekdrop:

I don't want uncofortable seats tho :lolhit: the 28 I have is suppose to be pretty quick as is, but I haven't found out yet just how quick :party-smiley-004:

got the plug for the fairing done, going to spray it tomorrow so it can be sanded and polished to make a mold.
Made it a bit higher then it will end up but its always easier to cut it down then to add.
Going to shape the ends to blend into the original line it should flow in nice. More pictures in couple days after its final fit, trimmed, and polished.

curious what the inside looks like , is there a flange or is the fairing boxed so when installed you dont see any fasteners ?

Boat belongs to Ed, we painted it for the old owner a year to the month last year and ed bought it from him as a unfinished project, ran the boat this season with his acrylic fairing and now wants to change the color ( even though that is about $4000 worth of HOK paint on there ). He wants a fiberglass version of what he had but cleaned up a bit so it looked nicer.

There is no boxed inside, understand between plug and mold its a good 3 days work plus materials, then we will still make one from that mold. Trying to keep costs down. This can be glassed to the boat, put in with sealants that do not require any bolts, it can be finished off however way someone wants. Like anything else mild to wild. I doubt I will ever make another one from the mold but if I do they need to be a certain price point to sell. I dont think anyone would spend $2k on one but if the price point can be kept inexpensive enough then people have the choice of bolting them on, fairing them in, it will be their choice how crazy they want to get with it.

Inside will just be smooth and gelcoated or in this case we thinking of covering it in some material that ties it into the interior- but I would rather just see it flat or semi gloss black.
