The starboard engine locked up and kick the rods,There was a crash box install because of a broken transmission the weekend before.. Needless to say from personal exsperience when you stop the prop at high speeds the hull makes a nasty turn. The hull went into an embankment at a very high rate of speed.
Im sure a fuel line ruptured with the fuel pumps still runnning. This will stay with me for a very long time!!
David was a great friend and rest assured he wants everyone to remember them for the great times of there time spent boating and learn from this tragedy.

HotPursuit ......I respect your explaination, HOWEVER from what I recall from 12 years of working with Pete, it does not pass the smell test.

...and this does pass it? What hotpursuit said is exactly what will happen if you suddenly lose power to only a single engine. The forces on the boat are unbalanced and produce a very large turning moment.
