While there are advantage's to Speedmaster drives there are also disadvantages. The main disadvantage is the added weight and prop diameter size really exaggerates hop in the smaller boats. The current IMCO SCX drive with Bravo Hering prop and IMCO gimbal are very strong. A properly setup 32 B can go over 120 on stock 525's and be reliable. With the lower prop cost you can afford 3 pairs rather than one.

Don't know if this one is still around, Scarlet fever - pleasure, #6's with Merc 850's

http://www.boattrader.com/listing/19...-Cat-101871094

It seems like there are a $hitload of 5 year old listings that have boats that have changed hands 2 or 3 times since the ad was first placed and never taken down when the boat was sold

Ok well figured people would be throwing older boats at me if they thought they had a chance to sell....Blume is good if you're looking for a newer boat, sub $100k I don't think he'll know of anything.

I tried pretty hard to be in a 32 under $100K. I am a pretty focused shopper and have decent connections in the Hi performance marine arena. In the end most 32 a's were going to be at our near 100K by the time you had tanks done etc. Most of the A's have steel trailer's that were needy. Early in the process it became clear an A was a good boat a B was a better boat. The residual value seemed to have a better outlook with a B also. I ended up buying a used partially rigged 32 B from Pete. He was great to deal with and always takes my call (even though the final agreed price included me naming the boat Cheap Skater). The boat was on a Skater trailer with tanks done. I purchased the 525's used at $25K. The Imco drives/boxes/gimbals and steering were purchased used F.O.B Australia for $18K . I had the boat transported to Mastry where I helped rig it. I purchased an Owen and Sons Aluminum trailer so I could use in saltwater. With 3 sets of Herings (all used) $5400 I am just over $140K. I suppose you may do it for less but I worked hard to get to this number. I am very happy with the boat but I did spend several hundred hours in purchasing and rigging before I ever ran it.

These just showed up! They seem to fit your bill. The 36 sat at pier 57 for ever. It may not need tanks done if it has never seen ethanol. The 32 should be a serious hot rod.

With the smaller power the 5's don't really bother me but do you guys think that boat will really run 120 with 650s??
